If you plan to go here during the High season you can expect to pay north of 3000 pesos per person for air tickets. However, if you’re in Davao on a vacation you can get away with paying nothing than 50% of the regular price and still get a lot of good deals and facilities during your stay.
I am aware that there are many websites and travel agents that claim to offer discounts to Davao travelers and I was planning to visit here during high season, but to my surprise none of them could offer me any good deals. I decided to see for myself if there is any market for Davao flight and hotel bookings during off season and to my great surprise there is. I was amazed to see for myself that there is an abundance of Davao hotels that will allow you to book cheap hotels and flights to Davao for a good price. And to my surprise the hotel accommodation operators offer Davao hotel bookings during low season and offer a good discount when the weather is favorable.
I saw on the Davao hotels website that they will allow you to book a hotel room during off season from 3000 Pesos, which is even less than the regular 3000 Pesos, but the discounts and facilities they will offer during the off season are far greater. When the weather is favorable, the hotels offer better rates than the regular 2500 Pesos, because they know the business and the tourists are on the break and vacation. The hotels will not restrict the numbers of rooms available and will even allow you to book the rooms at half price during the off season. The Davao hotels website will allow you to book the rooms at 25% off and offer you the facilities which the regular hotels will offer. The facilities include laundry facilities, telephones, internet facilities, dining facilities and much more. I already know that Manila has the best airports in the Philippines and I can already tell you that there are only 2 best airports in the country. Manila and Davao. I already know that in my opinion. When you book a Manila hotel during off season you will receive the best service and facilities but at a very good price. I already know that the Davao airport does not have the best customs clearance services in the country but the airport does offer great services and facilities during the holidays. The airport in Davao will offer you the best baggage control services during the holidays. I already know that Davao airport does not have the best security clearance services, but if you ask nicely they might even offer you a better service if you are a frequent traveler. I already know that the airport in Davao is still better than the one in Manila. But when you are traveling for a few days to 2 or 3 weeks, the security services, customs clearance services and baggage control services will prove to be a torture for the Filipinos. I already know that the Davao airport does not have the best dining facilities, but you can expect food with a quality that will make you say, “Yes!” I already know that the airport in Davao is better than the ones in Manila for the travelers who are traveling for a few days to 2 or 3 weeks. But when you are traveling for long periods of time, Davao airport becomes a bit boring compared to the ones in Manila.
Do not even bother with the ones in Cagayan de oro (Tagalog for Golden Hill). What kind of view does the airport in Davao have to offer to the travelers who are traveling for many days or to the ones who are traveling for 2 or 3 weeks, if you already know what kind of facilities it offers? But when you are flying from Davao to Manila, Davao airport will be the one to watch out for. What kind of customs clearance services does the Davao airport have to offer to the ones who are flying from Davao to Manila?

But the ones in Cagayan de oro will leave you with a better view and better dining facilities.
